I am now back home after surviving 11 days at Lay-dee’s house. Lay-dee bragged that I only spent one day hiding in my closet fort instead of my usual 3 days. She was happy I only threw up once instead of my usual 3 times and that I didn’t pass out once. I, however, managed to convince Lay-dee to give me way more treats than Maddie does by letting her pet me as a reward. I even conned Lay-dee into feeding me two scoops of her annoying rugrat cats’ food by refusing to eat my own kidney diet food. Lay-dee was worried about me losing more weight while I was at her house. She is so gullible. Lay-dee told me how pretty I was and how brave I was. Lay-dee even told me how strong I was when I swiped at her that one time. She was putty in my paws.

Pinky Ruth #105
I enjoyed judging the neighborhood children from my window perch. Some of them are not well behaved. All of them are too loud. I was able to supervise 54 delivery vehicles and 16 terrible teenage drivers at 2:20 every afternoon when the high school let out. There was also one scary garbage truck and one scary recycling truck. The birds, the squirrels, one raccoon family and the neighborhood dogs and cats were interesting to watch but seemed to lack the street smarts of those I scrutinize in the city.
I was forced to have friendship time with Lay-dee’s rugrat cats. The black and white one is just creepy and cannot be trusted. The tabby one is tolerable. We nose kissed many times and stared at each other for longer than I found necessary. The tabby seemed to want more of a commitment in our fleeting relationship than I am ready for.
I am enjoying being home with Maddie in our new apartment. I had only lived there for 5 days before I had to go to Lay-dee’s house. I like the carpet under my paws, I like exploring the new sunspots and I like to watch the birds in the trees and the people on the trail below my windows. And I like being with Maddie again.
